Over 40 from Northern Voices gathered at the Metrodome to cheer the Twins on to a 6-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday, May 23rd. Attendees included students & parents, as well as staff and a member of the board along with their families. See our photo gallery for pictures of all the fun!
The children of Northern Voices honored their mothers at a special luncheon on May 8, 2009. It was a “Hoe Down”, with violinists and a chili feast. The mom’s wore a special cowgirl hat and bandana made by their children, enjoyed a music program by Suzuki students, and then ate together out on the lawn, picnic style. Members of the Cochlear Implant Club attended an informational breakfast meeting at Northern Voices on May 5th, hosted by board member Linda Senechal. Guests were treated to a continental breakfast, presentation, question and answer session, and video before touring the school with Executive Director, Kristina Blaiser.
Roseville City Council members Jeff Johnson and Tammy Pust paid us a visit on Tuesday, April 28, at the invitation of board member Mindee Kastelic and Executive Director Kristina Blaiser. They learned about the extraordinary transformations that occur here, and were very impressed with our accomplishments. They invited us to be in the upcoming RoseFest Parade on June 22, which we are very excited about.

A quality assurance review was done in October, and included evaluation of our adherence to quality standards, as well as an assessment of our school’s improvement process and methods for quality assurance. The highest rating verifies that Northern Voices is operating with institutional integrity, and that we are fulfilling our vision and mission for our students.
