Our 8th Annual Golf Tournament and Auction held on August 13, 2009 at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids was our best tournament ever! With 177 golfers, we reserved all 27 holes for the first time, and had over 270 guests for dinner. The event raised $60,000 for the school, which will be matched by the Oberkotter Foundation. See the golf page (under Support) for more information, including the winners of our great raffle prizes!
Northern Voices will have a float in the Rosefest Parade on Monday, June 22nd! This is a great opportunity for the school to gain visibility in the community, so come join us as a participant or a spectator – the parade starts at 6:15pm. The parade route runs from Roseville High School (County Road B2 and Hamline) north on Lexington to Roseville City Hall at County Road C and Civic Center Drive. We have a float to ride on, and others will walk alongside the vehicle to hand out candy and pencils with our Northern Voices logo on them. We’ll be “decorating” the float in the Northern Voices parking lot at 5pm, and those riding who want to carpool to the parade start should meet us at St. Michael’s lot no later than 5:30. Parking at the staging area is limited. Call Chris at 651.639.2534 with questions.
Senators Jim Carlson, David Hann, Debbie Johnson, Sandy Rummel, and Representatives Bob Dettmer, Paul Gardner, and Marsha Swails joined staff and parents at a “Hear the Possibilities” informational breakfast at Northern Voices today. Senator Kathy Saltzman, who was unable to attend the breakfast, joined us in the afternoon for a private tour. These legislators represent districts of our enrolled student families. Guests were treated to a presentation about Northern Voices, heard stories from parents, and got to experience the children and our programs first-hand with a tour.
All are invited to “A Night of Stars”, on Wednesday, June 10th at 6:30pm at Northern Voices. It is an evening of recognition celebrating our five star graduates! Guests will be treated to a program and ice cream treats. RSVP to 651.639.2534 by June 5th.
